How do these guys keep getting paid?
Shit is embarrassing for players at this level and they keep getting paid year after year. So what's the lesson learned? Have a kid, teach him to play baseball and have "promise" - it won't matter after that.

B.J. Upton is the biggest loser in baseball, relief pitchers notwithstanding (of course). Has been for years.

Most baseball players suck these days and 1st overall picks get many chances to suck.

At least he stole some bases.

                      Byron buxton will be next...

BJ upton is in the lineup because of his brother. They are hoping to get shades of J upton.

Uggla just flat out sucks. He should be a pinch hitter at this stage in his career.

Wow JJ, it amazes me how often you show your lack of knowledge of sports in general when you make comments like that! Not trying to hate, (and I'm obviously a huge homer), but J-Hey is one of our better players! He isn't always consistent at times, but he is still young and has much more upside and potential for growth. We have many other young guys like Freeman, Simmons, and Johnson who aren't even in their prime yet.

What's ridiculous is the fact that for some reason every time we land a big-name player and shell out a fortune, they play for us and regress and flat-out suck! Look at Uggla, how he was tearing it up with the Marlins before we snagged him a few years ago, and he's been declining every year since. Same could also be said about the Uptons, although they're only in their 2nd season, and at least show signs of coming back (BJ has been better this year).

Don't know what to say about our situation except it's always been the same issue with us - hands down amazing pitching, but always lacking that offensive ability in some fashion or another. What makes it even worse is the fact that all of our players have amazing talent, they just have problems with being consistent - it always seems like only one or two of our guys are playing well (Freeman and especially Johnson right now), and the others are off. It's amazing what happens when they're all firing on all cylinders and playing to their true potential. I'm honestly surprised and happy to somehow still be leading our division despite half our rotation/bullpen on the DL!
