Dallas are still fighting for their playoff spot. They'd also rather be the 7th seed and play an OKC team they can actually beat, who they've gone 1-1 against this season, dallas are 0-3 against the spurs. Now spurs don't have parker, who is key, they also have the 1 seed wrapped up. If there is any conspiracy angle to look at, it is spurs letting Dallas take the win here in order to give OKC a tougher 1st round matchup.

I like the play tonight as well, but as a die hard fan I still don't see them beating anyone in a 7 game series come playoff time.

Honestly, yea you don't want to bet against the spurs, they are 43-35 against the spread compared to 43-36 for Dallas. Spurs can be unpredictable but they do lose

Dallas is still too much of a team that relies on outscoring opponents than in getting stops. However you can say the same thing about Houston, Portland, and Phoenix as well.

One thing about the Mavs is that for the most part, they're not beating good teams. Against Western conference playoff-bound teams, they're 9-14 this year, including 0-3 against the Spurs and 1-3 against the Clippers. They had better results against the Thunder, true, however they still gave up 111 in regulation in the OT win and the Thunder were without Westbrook/Perkins/Sefolosha in the other win. Even if they end up in the 2 & 7 spots and facing each other in Round 1, I wouldn't call it a good situation for the Mavs. In terms of series prices, I don't think it would be shocking to see the Thunder beat them easily in 4/5 games.

Everyone's thinking on this game was this: No Parker and Mavs must win to make playoffs = Mavs ML.

Plenty of teams fall flat on their face and lose in these must win situations.

Yea man thanks, tough game for Dallas. Spurs hit 16-34 3s, 47% from downtown. Dallas had the better field goal percentage, but only made 5 3s. Anyway, onto the next one.
