Man, it's hard to even watch some of the videos and the interaction between those two.
RIP Lacey Holsworth

#48Pretty little girl. Now she's with all the angels above.
Sad world.
It's the first time I even heard of this story. And the damn basketball team couldn't go further than they did?Dumb players. Just hearing a story like this makes me want to move walls. Embarrassment to this Spartans team.

#59Even harder to watch when you have young kids of your own -- most notably young girls, like you and I both do. Just tears you apart seeing her smile and watching the clips.Comment -

#64Probably most of you guys never interacted with a 5-8 year old cancer patient? Judging from Darkside's post... he hasn't either.
Let me just tell you... some of these kids are full of life... full of spirit... full of zest. I'm not saying this because their days are numbered... or sticking up for them and their condition. I'm saying this because I have spoken to a few children who aren't with us anymore. These kids haven't been told they are going to die... they are just trying to make it thru childhood like how we have made it. It strikes you and shakes you a bit... when you do interact... they are fighting a battle in which they didn't ask for. They didn't ask for this disease. The way they are so playful and free spirited... you would say to yourself... they don't even have anything wrong with them. They are going to grow up and be something special someday. And then... reality hits you... their condition worsens... and they are dead within 2 weeks. God bless the people who have gone through this or are going through it now. It's an overwhelming experience. What sickens me... I think doctors could do more... but they all run the same protocol for anyone who has cancer young or old... It's extremely sad. Then the parents have to live with the guilt for the rest of their lives. Who the hell would want to live anymore after losing a child? Just an incredible psychological/emotional challenge.Comment -

#66RIP Lacey. I'm jealous of Payne that he got to meet such a great young girl.
On a side note, who ever drafts Payne will be very happy. Not only is he a great basketball player, but he seems like a great person.Comment -
