I agree, of course there are guys Nasher, BBN, etc that still cap MLB very well. It is def getting harder for me. It used to be that I would bet a lot of O/U in MLB but already so far this year it has been tough to call. The first month of MLB is usually a time to really pound some teams this year not so much IMO.

First few weeks always a cluster. Unknowns going off, closers blowing games left and right, pitchers haven't built up their arm strength, weather is colder so the ball doesn't carry in some parks...it'll get better

right there Dane is what has destroyed me so far this year. These closers are brutal

Very dangerous sport to bet on. Part of the appeal. But you can make the money on it. Tons of games ever night. MLB is a follow one team only sport. You will go crazy otherwise.

Really? I think MLB is the easiest major sport to make money at, and actually the only one where I can consistently make money at for the last 10 years. Dogs and small favorites only. Got to realize your going to have a few terrible days throughout the season when playing dogs only.

I made a thread the other day, was barreled in but swept the board today on doggies. I think it's like anything else, you gotta pay attention and not throw darts. Baseball is second to football as my favorite wager.

All you need to know is this
walk up to the counter at LVH/MGM/Sands/Leroys with 100 dimes
during NFL season and try and wager it on an Total in an NFL game
doing the same thing during MLB season and tell the ticket writer it's all going on an o/u play
see what kind of reaction you get for both
