They have to get rid of the flagrant foul for getting hit above the shoulders. Catching an elbow occasionally is basketball. Reviewing plays like that kills the flow of the game.

There are way too many fouls called, that is for sure. Any time a guy goes up in the lane, it's a foul. That last foul on Randle last night was the perfect example of how refs refuse to let teams play D in the lane. However, it is a tough job. Some refs are way better than others.

Agreed here, defender put their face up on the offensive player and be rewarded for a basketball move. Now it's a blatant elbow but inadvertent shouldn't be rewarded. It's a tough job though, so fast and so much pressure to make a split second decision that takes fans a replay to know for sure.

You always have to play the refs interpretation as much as the opposition, but some of the laws of various team sports make it very difficult to referee impartially, and that gets exposed with tv replays. There isnt an easy solution - perhaps simplify the laws so that only "blatant" offences are called. Make it more a free for all so the "strongest" team wins.<br>
