I just think that March madness has such draw for gamblers and fans. Everything about it is great. NbA playoffs don't even come close to as exciting IMO. what do you think?
Are the NBA playoffs even close to March Madness?

#6I was in vegas for a game of the heat/okc finals.
Been in vegas for a sweet 16.
ZERO comparison.
Vegas was had the same vibe/feel/betting crowd and volume of a regular season game. Was shocked.
Sweet 16 was crazy in vegasComment -

#17Who gives a shit about the crowd. It's about the talent on the floor and watching a real game of basketball. Not some shit show like these ncaa tourneys are. All these kids your watching in the tournament. Less than 1% of them will make it to the nba. That's what a shit product ncaa is.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#24Just because most off these players will not make the nba shouldn't take away from the high level of play. Exhibit A Jabari Parker is probably gonna be a very good nba player. However, he struggled against a well coached experienced Mercer team. Players you will never hear from again. There One shining moment!Comment -

also college commentators are pretty amazing and the crowds are amazing and that adds so much hype to the product. so i understand why ppl like it so much. every game in march madness is like a tossup that's why it's crazy and exciting. you don't really see that competition start in the nba until round 2 or 3 of the playoffs because there aren't too many upsets in nba playoffsCause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#29I like the NBA playoffs way more. Neutral site games suck and the one-and-done makes it so fluky. The atmosphere at NBA playoff games (especially by games 4,5,6,7 when there's been some chippiness and you start to get a hatred for the opposite team... man that's awesome stuff). I'm one of the old grumpboxes who thinks the Finals of everything should almost certainly be the two best teams - you get that in the NBA far more often than you do in NCAA.Comment -

#33NBA regular season can be frustrating (especially this time of year) when guys take nights off on the reg - both literally and figuratively. Even if you find the college game flawed (I certainly do - especially the refs and the rule that the clock doesn't stop on made FG's and that timeouts don't advance the ball late in the game) you have to admit the passion of the one-and-done is something to behold.
Once the playoffs start though, NBA action is faaantastic.
1) You don't care about any team since you didn't go to college/university in the USA or ever live there
2) You don't bet on the games because you know nothing and would be just guessing
3) You find the games incredibly boring
There's one-and-done in nearly every damn sport, doesn't mean it's exciting. Does watching the final of a tennis challenger tournamenent in Uzbekistan with the 673rd ranked player facing the 356th have you on the edge of your seat cause it's one-and-done?
On a side note, I'd HATE it if the NBA every went the one-and-done route. The fact that there are series is what makes the playoffs so exciting in my mind. If they want to, they can replace All-Star weekend with a one-and-done tournament over 4-5 days with the best teams and have it be a separate trophy (as you can win several trophys in other sports like soccer for instance).
But really, just let them leave the game the fuk alone. NBA is great as it is.Comment -
