It's funny so many people are on Mercer. This team is not nearly as good as what most people think. I think the spread here is way to low. Mercer played in a conference where FGCU was not the same team as they were last year and mercer has good guard play, but Duke has multiple NBA players. It's a big difference in talent here - and I don't expect Mercer to hang around much this game. Duke (at home for the most part) will probably roll to a 20 pt win today. But saying all that, I am pulling for mercer to represent the conference. So even though I am cheering for Mercer, I highly doubt they will keep this close. But stranger things have happened, and you just never know. So my point is, good luck and I Hope you cash

I think stats bear out that if you really like an underdog you should bet them 1H. Almost all of these near-upset games (and there are a ton of them) start out with the underdog playing well (American v's Wisconsin yesterday) and then eventually the favorite settles in and imposes their athletic advantages and their will. Very rarely would you see Duke come out gangbusters, cover the -8 1H spread, and then have Mercer claw (Mercer "Bears"... "claw"... see what I did there?) their way back to a shocking upset. Doesn't happen that way.

If you like the upstarts - take the 1H points. Resist that high number ML temptation.
