Denver closed the first half in bad fashion. Anxious to get out of the second half gate on a high note, they played tough the other night against Phoenix.....but lost in OT. Tonight they take to the road and face the worst team in the league (my apologies to the Lakers and 76ers) and will notch a much-needed W. Lay the 4 (or 4 and the hook.)

FYI, gonna take my winnings and (grudgingly) bet on Canada (-120) in tomorrow morning's Men's Olympic hockey. Watching those US girls lose today was painful--up 2-0, minutes to go, ringing shots off the open-net posts, refs calling terrible penalties in OT. Ouch! God grants one thing to the Canadians.....Hockey supremacy.

Theology aside--the Canadian Men are primed for an offensive breakout. Scoring 2 goals against Latvia is a total fluke. Our goalies are superior to either of theirs, but it's not enough. They have too much firepower and the ice will seem tilted against us tomorrow. Lay the short $$ with the boys from the North and hope that our guys can re-group to win the Bronze.
