I'll add the beaches there are world class. 100x better than Hawaii and 10x better than CR. It's the biggest resort by far I have ever been in. Pretty much like its own city. Helps if you like rock and roll. Casino is great and a lotttt of soft poker players.

The bash wouldn't be a month from now you dolt!! I just plugged in Nov 4 to Nov 15 randomly and my flight would only be $1515. $200 more than when I went to Vegas. Not sure what that's all about but I'm tempted to book it now even without a bash because that resort sounds wicked

Fukk going to the DR in the Winter.. Could be 65 and windy. Spring break in the DR is absolutely gorgeous, just got to watch out for the monsoon like rain that rolls thru fairly frequently.

February/March/April (avoiding spring break) or August/September/October I would imagine are your best time slots.

The amount I'd pay in Vegas for a room and food is still less than I'd end up paying after the 4+ layovers for hours it's going to to take me to get to CR or DR. Nothing else to do in an airport but shop. As John said Vegas will happen again "one day...one day." It's not going to be this time though. You said you were going to call John... go for it and let us know how it goes.
