Did anyone ever confirm how many no shows there were? Most of the gueys on Sammy 9 ballers list were actually there that might have been the biggest laugh I ever had in all my time here

haha we'd have to ask Sam. I remember we were talking about it the night of the dinner that there were Vegas guys who didn't even show and who had said they'd bring a guest and then didn't.

Like I said I'd love for it to be in Vegas. Guys are complaining about a plane ticket to CR so there's no way they'd afford Macau which is the closest place to me on the list. And everywhere else is going to be a massive mission for me regardless with Vegas being the closest so obviously I prefer there. 30 hrs + of traveling is horrible. But with no sponsorship it's not going to happen in LV and John already stated as much so I'm not wasting my time hoping for a miracle. Doesn't mean though guys can't organise a mini bash there on their own and try to get group rates on rooms although I've yet to see one of those pan out on here.

Mexico slowly creeping up on Vegas now with 3 votes. My guess for the two votes besides mine are Mayan and The Kracken.

I live in Mexico and have a soft spot for Veracruz. Beach is not nice in downtown, but on Boca del Rio / Mocambo is fine. OTOH downtown is nice to have a dinner among mariachis. Nice aquarium too. Weekdays rooms are usually cheap most of year. And I had one of my best dinners ever at Mandinga, 15 mins from Veracruz.

I posted John's comment in here already but I'll do it one more time for your slow arse.

As you know when we throw these things the books get involved and give out sportsbook cash and we have their signs up and gear and all the rest. We don't do that anymore. If you are in the US you won't even see a sportsbook banner on any of the sites. So its a legal issue in the sense that we would not promote a US facing book in the US and the euro books wouldn't want anything to do with sponsorship either. But outside the US both groups would be lining up to put their name on the event.

Does this sound like it's going to be in Vegas to you?! The big man himself is telling you the deal and yet people still keep on hoping. It ain't happening in Vegas. And why do you always get all up in bash threads anyway when you never even entertain the idea of showing up? You're like an old biddy on the porch. The only guarantee here is that you won't show up.

Shari has a cruise been an option also? I am thinking that Antigua or London is an idea also. If they gave us plenty of time in advance would be the way to go here.

SO THEN WTF IS THE POINT??????? People need SBR to hold their hands while they book a trip to Vegas?! Without all the extra stuff it isn't a Bash ffs. Go start a thread now and plan a Vegas trip where everyone pays for everything on their own. See what happens when it comes time for people to actually turn up. Any of us can take a trip there whenever we want. The difference is all the extras - and for many guys the freebies - that come with an SBR bash. Let's go to the Points Forum and I'll take a bet on any amount you have that the bash won't be in Vegas this time. I can always buy points if I lose (which I won't).

It sucks that a few guys (not you) have passport or parole issues but most people don't. Either way that still won't change the fact that no sponsor = no Bash in Vegas. John already told us all the deal... listen to him and stop trying to get peoples' hopes up.

You read too much into news. Mexico is safe on 99% of territory. Of course, if you go to Michoacan hot land you are risking your life. But Veracruz city is safe. As it is any big city on main areas.
