SBR Bash 2014 - Vote on the venue

I trip to CR might cost user $2000 and Vegas maybe $600 In January

For $600 I spent 10 days in CR for the last bash including airfare. Coach one would need to study up to a near Fishhead level on VP and competitive dumpster diving to keep Vegas comparable to costs in Costa Rica.

Maybe my mind is hazy from currently being here but Amsterdam should be on the list as it seems a solid fit for a SBR bash...

i get that las vegas wont be sponsored. would none of the choices be sponsored or just vegas? like would posters have to pay the hotel cost out of pocket for every location

Based on what John said, sponsorship outside of the US won't be a problem. They just can't get it in the US. That's why I'm asking why would anyone vote for Vegas? Go plan a mini bash as it'll be the same thing.

As you know when we throw these things the books get involved and give out sportsbook cash and we have their signs up and gear and all the rest. We don't do that anymore. If you are in the US you won't even see a sportsbook banner on any of the sites. So its a legal issue in the sense that we would not promote a US facing book in the US and the euro books wouldn't want anything to do with sponsorship either. But outside the US both groups would be lining up to put their name on the event.
