No it's not a player. I suppose they don't have a salary cap for him.
It's the fukkin commissioner Roger Goodell!
4.1 million pension payment.
But the problem in this country is raising the minimum wage!

These organizations are publicly traded and they give stock options to the employees. Like if you worked for Google or Apple you will be a millionaire now. NFL is not the same. 90% of players play 2-4 years and are broke after a few years out of the league.

mixing alot of apples, oranges, and other fruit, with extreme examples there.
but we can still bring it out to a logical conclusion
if the average player is only around for 2-4 years, they are expendable and easily replaceable and they are prob being over paid if anything. Your League President has to be committed for a long long time ideally. You need to get someone with a very rare skill set. Someone that is alot less common than a guy that is big, runs a 4.3 40, has good hand eye coordination. those guys are easier to find honestly

I'd run the NHL, NBA, MLB, or the NFL. You know how many perks come along with this? You're golden if you enjoy the league you work for.

Tax exempt just like Exxon Mobil is tax exempt. Capitalism at work!
Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code provides for the exemption of business leagues, chambers of commerce, real estate boards, boards of trade and professional football leagues, which are not organized for profit and no part of the net earnings of which inures to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual.
10 billion in revenue..don't pay taxes..lets pay the commissioner $50 million
I wonder who sneaked that in the tax code. Professional football leagues only.

Rozelle may have earned this type of salary. Goddell hasn't done shit. He's done damage if you ask me, but all the owners see is dollar signs.

I cannot even stand the sight of Goodell. He has too big an ego to be effective. When he took office, NFL football was a fantastic product. Now it's not quite as good. It ain't broke, don't fix it. Adding another game to the season, adding more playoff teams, cold weather super bowls, having a salary bigger than all the refs combined....then watching as they strike over a meager pay raise. Taking hitting out of the game. This guy is not a good guy. Greedy.

What I find the most amazing is how the NFL is a 501(c)(6) still to this day....

The owners pay this bill and they seem happy to do it.
