Yeah Mike Tirico is terrible.

I always thought Keith Jackson was overrated, at least during the latter part of his career. He lacked big game enthusiasm, and even his "Whoa Nellie's" started sounding impotent after a while.

Personally, I don't think Cris Collinsworth gets enough credit. I'll always remember his voice calling the Orange Bowl in '95 when Tom Osborne won his first national title. He does great work on SNF too. He's got good energy.

Cris Collinsworth is good peoples.

I do like Van Gundy for NBA games. He's one of the few who venture outside of typical commentary protocol, and will denounce an official or a league rule on the air, if the call on the floor is unreasonable or ticky tack. He's bold enough to say what every couch potato at home is thinking.

Thread deteriorated as soon as Tirico was mentioned. I hear ya though. I actually enjoy collinsworth and van gundy. Frankly, in LA we are spoiled because we have living legends still calling games.
