i too have been wondering this of late. last year he was fun to watch. he looked like a fool out there and lost. he was hurting phoe so much. he looked washed up. i thought at that time he'd retire.

today, he is playing 3x better than in his prime, and he's old too. what has happened to him. then he wins mvp in all star game. i dont usually follow any stats in nba, but when i saw him on roster and one of the top guys in scoring in the league and pct too, i almost fell off my chair.

i have no idea what has happened to him..

why is he playing better??? the guy is relatively healthy for a change. shaq gets fouled EVERY SINGLE TIME they are on offense, regardless of if he has the ball or not. there is someone falling and pushing all over him to get him away from the basket. if somehow he isnt fouled before he gets the ball, he sure as shit gets hammered EVERY SINGLE TIME he touches the ball. the guy takes more fukking abuse than glass joe in punch out. theres also 3 seconds by a couple players almost every damn possession, you cant single out the big man while people are hacking the shit out of him, it wouldnt be quite fair. he wouldnt have to lower the shoulder if there wasnt some 250lb dude hanging all over him and already fouling the shit out of him. there will never be another player who takes as much bullshit abuse as shaq has taken.
