How is it possible? 10 losses v. 10 wins?(streaks)

We have seen it all the time. A guy cant win 10 in a row to save his life, but can lose 10 in a row as if its normal? Look at Breads contest. The guy cant get a poster to pick 4 winners in a row. But there isnt a poster here who hasnt had a 10 game losing streak or worse. How is that possible?
