I'm with you Panic, I still fail to understand what the obsession is with having the Bash somewhere that allows betting on sports. Any gambler that's addicted to it that much has a laptop, so all we need is Wi-Fi. Personally, I don't intend to make one wager while at the Bash. I'm going to hang out with the friends I've made here, not to act like a complete degen and spend my time picking teams and checking scores. Maybe I'll sit down and play some Baccarat if my new friends are amenable, but that's about it. There's too much fun to be had in LV to waste it gambling. Clubs, lounges, hot guys, live music, etc.

Folks, the demographic last year was pretty diverse. It seemed as if the average age was probably mid-30s, with plenty of us mid-40s types in the mix. Can't speak for everyone obviously but this old-timer didn't feel left out.

Just kidding RS. I've been to Atlantic City, and it sucks. Would rather have compaq set everything up for a gathering in Amarillo, surely he could get us a personal tour of Stanley March 3's ranch and scare up a good poker tournament for us to play.

Yes everyone over 30. The reason being, we dont want those pyscho youngsters running around. Like that kid that Nicky is scared of. Dont remember his name but he has really shiny teeth. Or Deuce who would try to rip JJ's head off in the first 15 minutes after meeting. Pat Vindetto would be another one. He would try to mug at least 80% of the posters. These young guys are bad news. The Bash would turn into a gang fight. One crew against another while us old guys get caught in the middle. No sir. Us old guys will go to Costa Rica, buy some hookers. Drink a few cocktails. Pass out by 9 because that what time we go to bed. And get up by 6, with 2-3 bathroom stops in between due to prostate problems. We dont want those young guys around also because they will get all the good hookers.

I know you guys have to play to the lowest common denominator, and I'm not saying it's a bad choice from your standpoint. I'm just expressing my feelings that it's more of a social event than a gamblers' convention to me.

I'd place more emphasis on the arts & culture, plus proximity to a major sports venue, that's all. We touched on this before, I'd like to take people to a play or a big game over hang out in a casino. Different strokes for different folks is all, and it's never escaped me that I don't have as much in common with the majority here as the average poster.

I'm sure I'll have a blast, and with my birthday on the weekend before the Bash, I'll be sure to get my fill of culture then.

Forget CR, it is the wild west down there and anything goes. The last time I was there I ended up in a fukkin shoot out in the hills over a land dispute and it was not even my fight.

RS, trust me, this isn't the go to a play crowd. You wouldn't want to go to a play with this crowd. That doesn't mean that none of them ever go to plays or other like events. But together at the same time, no. And really, can you imagine this bunch all liquored up at a ball game?! Good lord, a bail bondsman's dream, this group fueled and at some public event.

One does need a passport. You can get one in a week for $180. Otherwise its less than $50ish and yakes 4 weeks.
