Good deal for both sides there, it will also be nice to see him retire from his first team also.

yeah, always nice to a guy return to his hometown to finish out.

Hope he still has some gas in the tank...

it makes me feel old, when a generation of players has come and gone.... glavine is one of the last left that was "in the game" around the time I started watching baseball.... well a little after I started watching he and smoltz arrived on the scene

Man, sucks that Atlanta doesn't come to Houston until September, and in the middle of the friggin' week at that. I'd really like to catch Glavine one more time, saw him in his MLB debut 20-something years ago at the old Astrodome. Astros pounded him and I remember thinking when we left that he'd never really amount to much with that soft crap he threw. Would like to see him one more time and tip my cap to him since I was so wrong.

I love glavine but it just shows the sort of low expectations atlanta must have for this season.To sign a guy ,who great as he was ,is certainly at the end of his career.Another poor year ahead I fear for the braves.
