I'd be surprised if anything was made official until another month or two. Last year it was held at the end of August I believe. I would assume it will be held at approximately the same time this year. So it's still quite a ways off...

None of this is final yet but we are planning on 21-22 Aug 2009. Official announcements should be made by mid-March with registration opening in April. Should anything deviate from that plan we'll get back to you with more details.

Can you imagine lets say 200 people go, it will be amazing when we see 85% of the guys between 16-20. I mean that is cool with me, the young guys do a great job here posting.

I have few questions before I start making travel plans...

1) A thousand posts got us free room and travel money last year so what is SBR forking up for 10,000 posts this year? I'm pretty sure I can get there by registration time but I just need a little advance notice and worthy target prize (say a free weekend rental of a SBR segway or something?)

2) Also, any guarentee on silk shirts again this year? My wife missed the dry clean only tag so I'm very much in need of another (I'm not 100% sure but I think it might have been a jealous thing as I looked so hip... As a precaution I now keep my "JJGold Barreled In" shirt under lock and key just in case...)

3) Finally, 3 o'clock in morning slip 'n slide races on Fremont Street? Yes or No?

That would be a huge deal breaker for me as I won't have the ammo to pay for flight + room on top of gambling and having fun. I could reasonably hit 2000 since I've been doing about 200+ a month recently but geez 5k not happening.

I doubt anyone under 21 will get to book a hotel at a Las Vegas Casino since they want you to be able to gamble.

I believe Engilshmike posted 1000 posts in 3 weeks to get the free trip. If you make the post count 5,000 this place will go bananas because people will post garbage to get to 5,000 in a short time. Horrible idea to make the 5,000 mark as the limit.

Here is an idea: Whoever shows up gets the $300 and free room as long as they pre-register with a $300 deposit. When they show up SBR gives them $600 cash. $300 of their deposit and $300 bonus for the trip. In this way people are saving $600 for the trip in advance by only commiting $300 now. It also avoids cluttering the forum with unnecessary garbage posts.

7k posts free hotel/airfare (up to $300) and a free $50 room charge comp

That way SBR wont over spent thinking 200 will show when only 85 do

Bah, travel is cheap. Who cares if they cover your travel? They're having an open bar, people! Personally, the way I drink, I don't know if I could take their money to travel there in good conscience. If they offer an open bar and a room for me, I'll already feel like I'm taking advantage of them. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, guys.
