La Liga Soccer Play For Monday 10.28

With one match on Monday in Matchday Ten in Spain, two squads meet up in Madrid where Bilbao hasn't defeated the home clubbers in 9 previous meetings. However, this Bilbao group is quite different then years past. Boasting one of the better counter-striking abilities in La Liga, this team can turn the table quickly.

Since the loss in the Madrid derby to Real, Getafe has reeled off 4 wins in a row and find themselves just one point out of qualification in La Liga, just ahead of Bilbao. Protecting home pitch is very important here and I think we can expect a solid effort from both squads.

I feel this match is going to be extremely equal and I'm banking on a goal in the 70'+ to push this total. Bilbao will undoubtedly push the envelope late in the match, uneasy with one grabbing one point in Madrid. The attitude from the coaches is "We need 3 on the road" - which can spell trouble in terms of counter.

I follow English and Spanish soccer very closely, much close than say, the NBA.

That was the turning point. PK goes in, it's an entirely different match.

Bilbao played great defense though. They were outplayed the entire match but hung tough. Very good soccer match.
