Will Buccaneers win their first game Thursday?
Maybe, maybe not with a lean toward the "not", but regardless, I am on Tampa Bay +6 here. The Panthers have not done nearly enough to be favored by 6 points on the road, their 3 wins have come vs. the Giants, Vikings and Rams. Yes, the Bucs are just as bad or maybe even a tad worse, but this line means that Carolina would be -9 or -9.5 on a neutral field, which I simply do not see. And it is not as if Tampa Bay is getting destroyed, three of their six losses were by three points or less including a two-point loss to the Saints that looks pretty good now, and their only really bad loss was 23-3 at New England, and even there, allowing 23 to Pats is not disgusting. I think Bucs slide in under the number tonight vs. Carolina team that is already 0-2 STRAIGHT UP as road favorites this year losing at Buffalo and Arizona and 1-4 STRAIGHT UP as road favorites since beginning of last season including a loss here in Tampa as three-point chalk.

    YTD: 36-21, +13.79

A little tidbit that I find interesting is that winless NFL teams with at least six losses are 64% ATS since 2000. 1-1 this year with Giants win and Jags loss.

            LT,

They are basically playing on neutral field.

Tampa has the worst sports fans in the country.

The Rays and Buccaneers cant get people to
show up when they are winning.

Imagine what the atmosphere is going to be like
            for an 0-6 team....

I'm just saying i doubt Tampa is getting 3 points here
for home field. It's far from then type of atmosphere
at say century link in Seattle.

Mike Glennon played well against the Falcons and looked for Vincent Jackson all day long. They have a chance to win.

Other side here. Panthers defense has been money as of late, and sure their last two games were against the Vikings and Rams but playing like they have is sure to give those guys some confidence heading into a prime time showdown against one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NFL this season. Bucs are without Doug Martin, and their ground game sucked before he went down so I really don't see them rushing for more than 70 or so yards. The only weapon they have offensively is Vincent Jackson, and if Carolina is smart enough to bracket and double team him all game they should effectively shut down Tampa's passing game too. Cam has been on fire lately, and as long as he protects the ball and doesn't make stupid decisions this should be an easy 10 point victory for Carolina.
