My MLB play of the day (no long write up involved)
Red Sox / Tigers over 7.5

Usually good pitching beats good hitting.
But when two power hitting teams meet two power pitching teams, well...........
Tigers and Red Sox have several hitters in their line ups that can inflict pain on the other opposing starter.

I'm expecting a heavy dose of wall ball tonight from both teams.
Sparks should be flying at the Fens in Boston tonight.

Look for a 6-4 type outcome, either way.

Over in this game is tempting, and I am biting.

    2*

I remember watching the series in Boston during the regular season when Boston essentially put up a Football score on Detroit.

This first game will really dictate the totals moving forward in this series, hopefully the bats come alive- unlike the NLCS where pitching has dominated, thank God for the DH. I have to agree with you though, both these teams work counts well. Hopefully we can get some early baserunners.

Joe West's strike-zone is all over the place, and I've never seen so many checked swings called for strikes, it's keeping the batters off-balance. And also a 4 SO 1st inning, hah. The best way to describe this game is weird... Sanchez has all at once looked completely wild, then sharp.

I hope I didn't come in here and mush your play, I'll give you and obligatory option of punching me in the face
