Go look at those two teams opponent pass completion percentages, opponent average team passer rating and yards per completion numbers and get back to us with your revised total.

Great game for the books though. They could set the number as high as they want and still take everyone's money

Then all the players and coaches would start hammering the under and agree to play a 38-35 type of game.

Baylor has already done plenty of damage to the books. The Bears have covered the spread in 10 consecutive games, the longest such active streak in the nation. Twenty-three of their last 29 games have gone OVER the total. The books feel helpless.

“Baylor’s been a thorn in my side, but Oregon’s been a bigger thorn,” said John Avello, executive director of the Wynn sportsbook.

The Ducks have covered the spread in seven consecutive games, including all four this season. Avello includes Clemson and Florida State into the group of teams that have been hard for the books to handle.

“If a team can score points, the public is going to bet them,” Avello said. “They aren’t going to worry about covering 28 or 35 points.

“There’s really been no surprises in college football,” Avello added. “The problem we’re having right now is it’s too predictable. Anytime it’s too predictable, it’s when we’re going to get hurt.

Avello mentioned that, if Baylor and Oregon were to meet in a bowl game, he’d make the total on the game an even 100.

            Salmons agreed.

“I’m telling you, we’re not that far away from seeing a college football total of 100,” he said. “We’re getting closer.”

and all this time, I've been told by my family of gambling degenerates over the years that Vegas and books are supposed to ADJUST lines accordingly!...

                  Be a helluva BCS game.

Need a PAC v BIG XII bowl for it to happen. You'd think it would have to be a 1 loss game. A lot of interest in it for sure.

I keep thinking back to that Alamo bowl a couple of years ago when Baylor beat Washington 67 - 56...However, I'm still not sure if I'd go over 100 in this game because the one thing that has gotten overlooked is the fact that Oregon also has a damn good defense this year to go with their explosive offense...hard to say what Baylor's offense would do against them...but both teams look unstoppable right now...the better question would be is do you think one or both these teams could beat Alabama?!...I'd say yes and I'd put my money on both of them...

Its relevant because he's saying these two teams actually play defense, that the total would be nowhere near that

this is stupid. we haven't seen a total over like 85. "oh, one day, we'll see 100"...right, of course we will.

Oregon's D is pretty solid. I wouldn't count on Baylor hanging 40+ on them.

everyone overreacts to early season numbers. remember the oregon/auburn championship game? two great offenses? it was like 13-10 or some shit. it was way low. we will never see a total of 100. just wait until the rest of the conference season kicks in, lots of unders will hit.

Baylor won't play a real defense all year. They'll roll the Big XII. It's insane to think. This is the first time in my life I've looked at a Baylor team and not wanted to play them.

On Sunday, prominent offshore sportsbook Bookmaker opened Baylor as a 10.5-point favorite at Kansas State. The line surged to Baylor -20, before moving back to the current line of minus-17.5.

As of Wednesday evening at the SuperBook, there had not been a single bet placed on the Wildcats plus the points.
