The Iphone is awesome, no need for the 16G-8 is fine. The camera is not bad. My only complaint is Matchbook's site is real slow to navigate with it, but I assume all phones are having this problem.

Upside of iPhone: using it will make you an elitist.

Other than that: not much.

Having an iPhone doesn't make you an elitist.... that's retarded.

iPhones are pretty affordable ($199 new.... $99 refurb) and provides the best web-surfing experience of any phone. Most phones need mobile-versions of sites to work but all the regular websites work on the iPhone.

The cons (for me at least) are:

1. Web-browser crashes often. Stability seems to always change with each software update. Hoping the next one (version 2.3) will fix this.

2. Can't play videos (other than Youtube). So if you want to watch movies on TVshack.net for example, you can't.

3. No copy/paste. So if you want to copy/paste a long article or a long link, forget it... unless you want to type out the whole thing.

4. Delete button tends to go crazy and delete everything you type. So after I type a long reply, I try to delete a couple of words and it goes in to an auto delete and deletes the entire thing. So be careful about that.

5. Difficult with any sites that have page scrolling within the page itself. For example, Bookmaker, you can't view the lines page because you can't scroll down. Bodog is OK because there's no scrolling.

6. Slowwwwww..... but I have the G1 iPhone with EDGE Network only which is very slow (100Kbps) compared to the 3G version (3-4 times faster).

7. Battery doesn't seem to last long. I can surf maybe 2 hours before it needs recharging.

8. Phone volume is kinda low. But again, this is G1 phone and not the new 3G.

Forgot to add there are some sites that are now iPhone compatible and can play movies by using Quicktime (Apple's video player).

Most people that rag on the new 3G iPhone don't have one and know very little about it.

You'll be fine with the 8G (I got the 16G but have realized I don't need it).

Truth be told, the camera is actually VERY good but you can't send photos phone to phone (You have to email it which is actually quite easy but phone to phone would be nice). Maybe an application will be available soon.

My iPhone never crashes while browsing. I can browse SBR very easily but the Live Odds page doesn't work very well.

I absolutely love the ability to be out for a jog listening to tracks on my iTunes and then the music fading out as a phone call comes in. I can take the call without removing the headphones and as soon as the conversation is over, the music fades back in.

The whole battery issue was solved with the 2nd firmware update. No issues at all anymore. If you want even more battery life, turn off the Wi-Fi because it is constantly looking for Wi-Fi and that uses battery life.

I've seen the new Blackberry and some of my friends who have it are not impressed.

I have very little issues with IPhone, maybe vids don't work great on youtube

97% of websites are easlity accessible and looks exact same like your pc or laptop

Applications for phone are best in business, some free and some pay

With these apps very little need most of time to actually need safari browser.

Sports scoreboards are great and for every sport in the world. Tons of Apps to pick from, tons and tons of Soccer scoreboards apps, ect.

I have the 16gb just cause I wanted the white one. 8gb will do just fine. Iphone is the bet there is, period
