Upgrade cost for a Strip-view room in vegas?

Likely going to Vegas in November and I'd like to stay at something mid-range (Imperial Palace, Flamingo, Harrah's).
There are rooms online for $20-$40/night, for weeknight stays.

anybody know what its going to run me for a room with a view, if I ask when i check in?

Slip the person at the desk a few bucks and you should be all set.

Like reload said - when you check in give the clerk a 20 and ask if there are any complementary upgrades available.

    Going next fri

Palazzo basic room for 4 nights with no view was 400 cheaper than strip view room. Going to stick a fitty spot between my DL and CC when i check in. Might not get me a view but hopefully a high floor. Case the check in line people. Go to someone who looks friendly.

Imperial is about as bad as it gets on the strip. W/ that said, I've stayed there a few times.

    Great location.

Wherever you gamble, get a rewards card and use it. Your next trip to Vegas will include comped lodging.

Imperial palace is fairly nasty. If your going with a broad or plan on picking one up that doesn't charge by the hour stay sonewhere else

    Thanks for the advice guys.
Ive heard Imperial Palace is far from palatial.

is the Flamingo any better? maybe harrahs?
im going alone, not looking to pickup. id like to stay somewhere central, but not too expensive. i stayed at ballys once and it was perfect for my needs (so if Ballys is at the same level as IP, then i guess i'd be ok with that).
thought i'd switch it up. id want to stay on the strip between Planet Hollywood and The Venetian (preferably)

Ohh did not know that...Thought he was serious.

But honestly if you're in a place like Vegas where 95% of your time is spent in other places than your hotel. Stay near the action for the cheapest price possible. Unless of course you're trying to bang broads, then you may need a "nice" room to help yourself out.

A view is nice if your in the room a lot but how many times to you want to see the strip??

As long as room is clean it does not matter
