Chris Johnson to be the HIGHEST paid RB in the History of NFL

The Titans want Chris Johnson to report to training camp so they can talk about his contract and make him the highest paid RB in NFL history...

Here's what he had to say:

"Even though he has two years left on his contract, we'd like him to go in," Reinfeldt said. "He could go to meetings, get to know the new coaches, he can learn the scheme. He doesn't have to practice, but it's something we want to get done.

"Again, we're willing to make him the highest paid running back in the history of the NFL. That's kind of where we are."

What do you guys think 5 year contract worth 40M???

It will be a waste of money...

Guys like Him, Barry Sanders, and all those other hit or miss guys never win anything...

Just like a running QB, when you need a BIG FIRST DOWN, they can't be depended on to get the job done enough...

he promised last year that he would go over 2500 yards... that didn't happen because teams figured out his running game...

I agree some other guy is gonna come outta the shadows and be the next big shizznit, you know I picked up Foster on my Fantasy draft last year and everybody laughed at me... guess they didn't have much to laugh about later... I also picked up Peyton Hillis another laughable moment... everyone thought I was crazy LOL... I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!

    uh

Jackson got a 6/46/21 deal two years ago. so it will have to out do that; I'm not sure there is a bigger deal for a RB, unless you count Bush's rookie deal, but that was a number 2 pick so think that wont really count.

Look for the deal to be like 6/55/23

Saw an E60 on the guy. Came off like one of the dumbest mother fukkers i have ever seen. Cant string a sentence together. He is probably broke already. Needs a big up front new contract signing bonus.

No running back is worth big money anymore. Look at some of the running backs that broke out last year (Foster, Hillis, Charles, Ivory, etc.). Who would have thought these guys would amount to anything in the beginning? There is always a serviceable running back out there somewhere if you look hard enough, and you have a strong O-line. A normal running back has lost his tread at around 30 nowadays. It is a better investment to get a strong O-line. Chris Johnson peaked 2 years ago. he won't ever do that again. Get some draft picks for him, and move on. The Titans aren't going to be anything special this year anyway, and when they finally are, CJ will have nothing left.

If we check his family tree, I'm sure we can find he is related to Moses Malone somehow.

That is when I started to dislike the guy. I knew the day I heard that he wasn't getting it. To me that shows he has no respect for the game putting that promise out there of 2500 rushing yards. If it happens it happens, don't try to be cocky and promise something.

Did he even get 2500 total yards last year?

Yeah, it concerned me that he was more concerned about his yards than he was about how many wins the team would get.

He seems like a player you need to keep "hungry" to get that production and hard work out of, once he gets his big deal he will become another jamarcus russell, guy is wayyy too hood for his own good

Adrian peterson is probablly better long term.

Staying away from CJ2k in fantasy. Solid 90%+ of non QB's star players are nevermore after getting their big payday. 1000 yards / 12 TD's for CJ2011.
