How many non-US gamblers bet NFL and College Football?

As you know these sports are exclusively played in the US. Besides Canadians very few people know even the rules of these games let alone betting them on a regular basis. So if you were to make a guess how many non-US players gamble these sports on a regular basis?

With Canadians included I'd say 20% is the non-US gamblers betting these sports.
With Canadians excluded I'd say 5% of non-US gamblers bet them.

This answers the question whether books will be in trouble during football season.

I've bet them hardcore every year I've lived away from N. America with the exception of last year. I know quite a few people who have never lived in the States who probably know more stats and are more fanatical than the average US gambler. If a sport's televised globally people are going to bet.

These numbers seem right. I would imagine that there's a lot less casual bettors outside of the US though for CFB/NFL. Even Canadians have to go much further out of their way to be fans as the sports are not televised to the same degree in Canada.

I bet it and so do quite a few of my friends. Not a whole lot though and our bets for American sports is a lot less than what we bet for soccer.

Maybe you should learn to read and/or think before you talk? First of all, I'm a Canadian that bets at Pinnacle...

My point was that in general the CFB/NFL fans in Canada that DO wager on games take it seriously. Semi-pro bettors with research/handicapping skills to back it up, as opposed to casual, square bettors throwing a few bucks on their local team. I'm not saying Canadians are better fans, but American football is not nearly as ingrained in Canadian culture as it is in the US. Hockey is #1 north of the border from a fan perspective and always will be.

And proline/sportsaction SUCKS. It has no place in a real conversation about sports betting. If your area has strong NFL/CFB culture then that's awesome, but that's not typical across Canada, and definitely not true in Vancouver, where I am...

im from the uk, nfl has great tv coverage here we ge a live game at 1pm ur time and 5pm ur time then we get both sunday and monday night evening games it is quiet popular with the bettin public as unlike soccer where u have 3 outcomes namely home win away win or draw u only have 2 outcomes in nfl so is better value from that perspective

Maybe you should do the same, your statement about access and coverage available is totaly wrong
and compare Apples with Apples, 36 Million versus 365 Million People, its no wonder there is more
following, read the Thread about the coverage from the guy in the UK, and by the way Vancouver stinks
    been there

NFL is BIG in Ontario half of the Buffalo Bills season ticket holders are from Ontario.
There far more NFL fans in ON then in the rest of the Canada .

This will be a test for the offshore market...Only a few books will get most of the action and you can rest assured by mid NFL season, some books will fold.

    Easily thousands worldwide.

The big UK betting syndicates bet the NFL too.
