I have been told by indivduals who work on the Hill that the likelihood of legislation against online gambling being passed during this year's Congress is virtually nonexistent. There is a very slight chance that it may come up before the Senate after they reconvene in early September, but even if it does there will most certainly be alterations that will have to go before the House and that will simply not allow enough time for the bill to become law this year. Apparently the priority level on this issue is just not high enough for legislators to focus on pushing it through in the short amount of time (from a legislation standpoint) remaining.

#2Thanks for this advice isetcap! I hope you're right as I need time to create a "Plan B" income wise, just in case the brakes are applied to my little arb concern.Comment -

#4What? You mean Iraq, North Korea, the Mideast, oil prices, and national security are more important than this? Shocking!

Yes, apparently the threat was good enough.
If/When this issue heats back up, we'll have the coalition ready to make sure we can put up a good battle for our rights. Hopefully a more moderate composition to Congress next time around will cause this issue to fade away for good.
Thanks goes to you and Buddy Bear for taking time out to discuss the issue and help with perspective and focus.Comment -
