so, you think BoS should remain a perfect 10...Till they are either absolved of any guilt, or, convicted?

this, in spite of the fact that they are closed for business?

oh, and.. congrats on being "busy"..

maybe the fact that pretty much all the scam sites you were promoting, have now already gone down the gutter?

the, "can't get any worse" mentality, i reckon.

hey, 'whatever' right? as long as someone sends the cash in to some of those remaining sites, "it's all good".

Btw, whats your take on this 'sexy wagers' place?

i got on their spamlist somehow..

thought maybe you guys had 'checked them out' by now...can't seem to find anyone willing to admit they play there yet.

Sooooooo, TOW has decided that BetOnSports will maintain their perfect 10 rating in spite of an avalanche of recent stiff job complaints, CEO David Carruthers is behind bars, website shutdown, BOS top executives indicted on Rackateering, Conspiracy, Tax Evasion, Aiding and Abetting, Mail Fraud, and a slew of other charges.

After all that has transpired with BOS lately, TOW continues to rate BOS the best of the best of offshore sportsbooks. Do these people have no shame?

Why, are you still trying to sqeeze those last few dollars out of them? I should put this quote in my signature.

Forum VETERAN who plays there. No better book for good cash bonuses and spiffs (free dvd to newbies and a generous bonus). The manager there is the most accessible I ever seen in over 10 years of playing online.

                  thanks for the input.

how long have you been using them? have you requested a payout yet, and, if so how long did it take to recieve your funds?

don't care about the manager being accessible on the forums, if thats what you mean.. that actually makes me leery most of the time.

                  dvd?

guess this is a dumb question , but, what sort of dvd?

You have to feel for tow. We still get dumped on for PanAm's B+ rating as we should and that was years ago. For tow to survive 5 books failing or soon to be and another with one foot in the grave is going to be tough. Rpm singing that all is well is obviuos rubbish. Personally, knowing this business a little I would doubt they will make it. They have lost the players trust and the bookmakers trust, that doesnt leave a lot to hang your hat on.

                      I'm intrigued now.

In recent weeks, we have seen BoS stealing player balances. Now their boss is banged up, their websites are not operating and they are facing multiple charges in the US which includes a demand for $4.5 billion.

In your opinion, what exactly would it take for BoS to get a downgrade?

Porn DVD. Funny thing is they checked your ID for the video, but not for sports account.

It would take BOS being late on their advertising dues.

no, it isn't good, even by itself.

now, add into the equation, that tow vehemently defended a few of these scam shops, when others were trying to warn the players about existing problems.

to the point of dismissing the warnings, even while knowing the they were fact, just for the sake of raking in a few extra ad dollars.

then, figure in tow's insistance on keeping a banner up for one of the scam shops, well into it's 5th week of no-pays.

then, figure in the non-existant "insurance".

It just doesn't get much worse than this, imo.

A complete train wreck, and, nothing but one huge, expensive disaster after another for the posters/players that fell for the 'watchdog' act.

Seriously, has anyone ever seen a deception of this magnitude, from a relatively well known operator?

I can't think of anything that comes close.

He snookered a few guys into thinking he had investigated these new books when in reality it was always a cash grab. NoJuice obtained the same rating as BetFair and WWTS in Roberto's cash grab scheme.

There are over 1,000 of these tow pseudo-scam type of sites out there trying to earn a angle in on a buck. They recommend BetOnSports and BetUS and new dog books too, just like tow.

He had is 10 minutes in the sun. But players will never trust him and the books think he is dangerous. Both are right.

What link ? I go to the site, then forums, offshore, then CGI. I get in once in awhile if I keep repeating and refreshing.

Then what are you complaining about? Obviously things are working perfectly if you can get in once in a while.

This is actually an artificial intelligence issue. Your computer, over the amount of time you have spent at TOW forum, has "learned" that you are wasting your time there and this is it's way of saying, "Oh man, you don't really want to go there, do you? Wouldn't you rather see this nice CGI Error I have?"

The Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a standard protocol for interfacing external application software with an information server, commonly a web server. This allows the server to pass requests from a client web browser to the external application. The web server can then return the output from the application to the web browser.

CGI arose out of discussions on the www-talk mailing list between Rob McCool, John Franks, Ari Luotonen, George Phillips and Tony Sanders in 1993. Rob McCool, working at NCSA, drafted the initial specification and provided a reference implementation in the NCSA HTTPd web server using environment variables to store parameters passed from the web server execution environment before spawning the CGI program as a separate process.

An example of a CGI program is the one implementing a wiki. The user agent requests the name of an entry; the server will retrieve the source of that entry's page (if one exists), transform it into HTML, and send the result back to the browser or prompt the user to create it. All wiki operations are managed by this one program.

The way CGI works from the Web server's point of view is that certain locations (e.g. http://www.example.com/wiki.cgi) are defined to be served by a CGI program. Whenever a request to a matching URL is received, the corresponding program is called, with any data that the client sent as input. Output from the program is collected by the Web server, augmented with appropriate headers, and sent back to the client.

Because this technology generally requires a fresh copy of the program to be executed for every CGI request, the workload could quickly overwhelm web servers, inspiring more efficient technologies such as mod_perl or ASP that allow script interpreters to be integrated directly into web servers as modules, thus avoiding the overhead of repeatedly loading and initializing language interpreters. However, this is only applicable for so-called high level languages that needs interpreters. Such overloads can be avoided by utilizing languages like C. By using C or similar compiled languages it is possible to reach higher efficiency levels, because such programs terminate their execution cycle faster than interpreted languages with less operating system overload.

                                                    (Wikipedia)

hard to imagine thats the problem, unless the server is just set up for an incredible small amount of traffic.

a quick study on their current online stats shows they are only averaging 21 total unique visits per hour.

not exactly blowing the server doors off.

in fact, i just got a CGI error there, and when i checked the real-time online stats, there were only 17 actual visitors on the entire forum.

I'm certain that the problem with CGI Error Forum is someone else's fault and that, as always, more information regarding a proposed solution will be forthcoming in the next several weeks or months
