Believe it or not, folks, Brock actually used to be pretty solid at picking and choosing his spots. Now he's this.

Anybody who has seen Barkley play this year ought to be happy that "ANYONE ELSE" is the USC QB in this game. yeah barkley was good last year but he sucked this year.
He's had multiple games with 3+
INT's
Woods and Lee are 2 of the best WR's in college football. I think the young gun carves up the ND secondary.
This aint wake forest or boston college... ND is going to have their hands full.

Of course they are. USC may have more NFL talent on its roster than any other team.
With that said, two things remain. Lane Kiffin. Monte Kiffin.
If Nick Saban were coaching USC, I'm pretty sure they would be 11-0. USC plays undisciplined, they are penalized more than any other team in the country, and they tackle poorly.
Do you honestly believe Stanford or UCLA has more talent than USC? They don't. But they have better coaches. Jim Mora is going to take over LA as long as Kiffin is coaching USC.
I would not be surprised if USC wins tomorrow night, but I would be wary of betting any money--serious money anyway, on a Lane Kiffin coached team.
Oh yeah, USC is 2-9 ATS. Hmmmmmm.

The problem with that is Andrew Luck didn't play for Stanford this year.
This year Stanford started a freshman QB against USC.

I just don't see ND losing here. They caught the "Luck of the Irish" with Barkley not playing in this game and if you think ND is going to take this game lightly just because he isn't in, your crazy. This team is focused and their Head Coach and making sure they stay focused. USC still has great players on that team and I'm sure it's going to be a close one but, the team that is going to be less motivated is USC, IMO.

This is exactly the kind of game where a stupid but talented team suddenly puts it together and plays their best game of the year. Add to the fact that ND is a shit team and the recipe is for a USC win.

The trouble with USC players that get drafted to the NFL is they all go bust except for Troy Palamalu,he is injury prone so I guess you could also confirm him as a bust.............

Clearly there is ND value in this game:
- Everyone denies ND's talent b/c they win with defense and running instead of a high-powered viewer-friendly offense
- The line only moved 3-4 points after news on Barkley and has since come back 1-2. You're telling me a first-round draft pick is worth a field goal? Cummon!
- Ignoring the hype (rivaly+BCS implications) USC is clearly outclassed numbers-wise
Cheers to all you jokers for the easy money

Love how people just shut the out of any chance in this game and/or yhe title game. Less we forget they do have the number one scoring defense in the nation. Prolly a front 7 in the top 3 in the nation. Not to take anything away from the aggies but their defense does not compair to notre dames. As for the offense...no they are not flashy. They play run run run amd throw it deep when your secondary is sleeping. Notre dames run defense is one of the best in the nation and alabama has avg qb play. McCarran is not as good as landry jones, and he is going to have to beat the irish and dont see it happening. I am hhoping the line comes out 10.5and ill take the irish big. Who has bama played this year. Lsu and the aggies. Got manhandled on offense by both teams the majority of the night. They should not be number 2. They are riding on last years coat tails.

They may...certainly as live of home dog as you could ask for. Rose Bowl gives a big edge to USC. Last game for USC seniors many are showcasing their NFL skills. But on the other side of the coin USC is poorly coached, will look clueless often on both sides of the ball, tend to quit if they get behind and otherwise don't really care. ND on the other hand has far less talent but especially on defense play perfect fundamentally. Receivers are covered and they are near flawless tacklers.
Two teams that are totally different in every sense; ND is well coached USC is not, USC has great talent ND does not, ND plays on guts and pride USC doesn't really care. ND is one of the best tackling teams ever, USC one of the worst. I would either bet ND or pass.

C'mon man. I'm no USC fan, but they've produced some great NFL players.
I won't mention O.J.
But how 'bout Ronnie Lott, Marcus Allen, Lynn Swann, Pat Haden, Sam Cunningham, Bruce Matthews, Junior Seau, Tony Boselli, Mark Carrier--- There's more talent right there than 99.44% of all college programs.
