Vegas knows what's up.. ACC is about to take down 2 top "elite" teams in the SEC this weekend. Florida +7 seems like $$$ right guys? Betting on a team who shoulda lost to UL Lafyatte and was only able to hang 23 points on jacksonville st last week. Florida will not score a touchdown this game, and I would advise all of you not to fade the seminoles this week as they will be playing with anger and out to send a message to the BCS after remaining at #10 in the BCS.. Truth is the ACC has two really good teams who are playing two somewhat "struggling" top SEC teams at home. UF is struggling to score and SC hasn't been the same since LSU. You put Bama/LSU/Texas A&M/UGA up against Clemson & FSU right now and it's a different ball game. Put up the SEC's 3-6 vs the ACC's 3-6 and you'll have 4 lol'ers.
LSU vs. UNC
Texas A&M vs. Nc State
SoCo vs. Duke
UF vs.Miami
Hell, Vanderbilt would be the 3rd best team in the ACC and it wouldn't even be close.
UF will have to get some breaks to win. FSU has been a different team at home. If UF has to play catch up and FSU's DE's can pin their ears back and rush the passer it could get ugly.Comment -

FSU is only 3-7 ATS this season. The spreads were largely big, but that still says the team has either been overvalued by the books and by the market all season, or that they've under-performed against the 104th toughest schedule in the FBS. Prior to their loss to NC State, the Seminoles were 1-3 ATS, and have since gone 2-3. The human polls have them as the 5th/6th best team in the country whereas the computer rankings put them in the 15-18th range.
Florida, on the other hand, was 6-1 ATS going into their game against Georgia and have since gone 0-3 ATS, winning their last three games but knowing that the only game left that really mattered to them was this FSU game. I believe they were undervalued early in the year and the dropoff in their spread performance since then has largely been due to motivation, plus missing Driskel for a game. The market never really caught up to them this year, and the 6-5 ATS record is an illusion. The human polls have them at 5th/6th as well, but the computer places them as the second best team in the country.
There's really no metric available in standard or advanced stats that supports the notion that FSU should be this big of a favourite in this game, with most of them rating FSU as a slightly better offensive team, and Florida having the edge in defense and special teams. These teams are pretty closely matched.

Florida vs FSU is big. Not only will it affect the top 10 rankings but it will also be BIG in recruiting. This game involves kids playing against each other for the past few years from high school ball. In-state rivalries are always a tough game. With these two defenses, it will be close. Cant say which team i lean on yet, but im sayin any spread over 7 is a trap.
EDIT: I favor FSU's defense more than Florida due to the difference in the front 7. The Secondaries are evenly matched.Comment -
