ESPN NY and WFAN NY have been torching the Jets all week.
Merciless, brutal, the media here has been whipping them like a mule all week.

Now I know how the casual fan bets, they are brainwashed by the media burial all week.
I haven't looked at the betting percentages yet, but I believe the casual fan, especially in these parts and hammering the Rams.

Plus, I believe the Rams totally left everything on the field last week in that 5 quarter tie.

I know the Jets suck, however they are professionals also, and will come out with passion after that ass kicking they took from the talking heads.

Tail this at your own risk, I'm just telling you what I think and why.

Goes both ways though. In St Louis you have a great young team playing with confidence and playing together for a great head coach. Jets are a mess right now in the midst of self destruction and inner turmoil. This is truly a make or break week for this circus in NY. Does it manage to barely stay on the rails for another week? Or is this the week they finally get the last nail in the coffin for the 2012 season? Personally I am a growing skeptic on the inner fortitude and character of this team... aside from just the lack of talent obviously.

It is very hard for me to get past what little the Jets did off of the bye week.

As for St. Louis, the get humiliated in England, and take the bye week to show marked improvement.

Mix in Coach Fisher, as good as they get IMO, and if ever I was going to play a favorite, and I do not, it might be this team , this week.

Can't see how the bye week does not work, but the media does.

Rams Pass defense is playing well and the Rams team played very good against one of the top defenses in the NFL in the 49ers.

I think the spread is too low based on the teams alone (the Rams IMO are better than the Jets, but the spread insinuates they are equal).


However, this is a very bad spot for the Rams.


Edit: Disregard the first part. Rams are -3.5, I thought they were -3. Anyhow, I like the Jets here, but I hate betting on the Jets.

don't get cute by trying to take the jets here. sure the media is burying the jets, but rightfully so. they have absolutely zero confidence, have a toxic locker room, are incredibly banged up, and have the worst receivers the league has ever seen. their rb is fat and slow too.

this game is rams or pass, period. putting hard earned money on the jets is just asking for major heartache. gl

I disagree. The Jets have been "Torched" by the media ever since they lost to the Dolphins. Since then they've looked horrible...Not just those weeks but ALL SEASON LONG they've looked bad. Rams are good at home. I would take the rams + the points any day against a Jets team that really hasn't showed me anything other than a locker room that's out of control just like last season....But Best of luck man.

i didn't say zero chance, there's always a chance the jets could cover. the point i made is not so much to bet on the rams because they are a sure thing. rather, don't invest your money (if you value it) on the jets. gl
