Where I live it's a widely known fact that the biggest poker game players and sports bettors are politicians. Some are hypocrites and during anti gambling legislation such as the anti internet gambling bill just passed by the house they vote for it and take the podium railing against gambling. What balls they have!
Then you can tell who gambles and just sort of hides in a corner not wanting to say much and voting against the bill.I rarely if ever see eye to eye with Barney Frank on much but on this one he was right on when he said it's not our job as politicians to play babysitter for people who want to gamble online.I was surprised he took the libertarian-freedom point of view and not the liberal we know what's best for you point of view like he usually does .Hmmm,I'm thinking that football betting must be big in the gay community.hehe!
Then you have this stereotypical liberal democrat black congresswoman and she's going on and on about protecting people from all the ills by choice they get themselves into and how the government will step in and make it where you can't make decisions that may not be good for you. They treat their constituents like friggen children.Maybe someday this woman will be working a phone bank at a betting parlor in Costa Rica and when someone says they want the Detroit Lions on the money line she will say that her good conscience won't let them make the bet because their kids will go hungry.hehe!
Anyway,if this bill goes to the senate and passes there should be an all out blitz to identify the politicians who are known gamblers that screeched how bad internet gambling is and voted for the anti internet gambling bill.
I noticed with the talk radio host crowd people like Limbaugh and Hannity really don't like to talk about it.Hmmm, something tells me these guys like to drop a dime or two on football weekends. It would be suicide for a famous person in politics to make bets with offshore bookies who might disclose their names so there must be some major league bookie in D.C that has the goods on everyone who gambles.I would like to see that black book of names. If I were some lowly peon clerk for an offshore sportsbook who wants to make a few $$$ on the side I would sell politicians names who do business with them to The Enquirer.
