Who exactly determined the ESPN talking mouths were "experts"?

Have you seen Jessie Palmer talk about college football? It's like an infant eating with chopsticks.

In this case though, they may be right. Detroit in 6.

Tampa was barely favored but I'm pretty sure the Marlins were not favored against the the Tribe. That Tribe team in that era had a rep for talent. That being said I think the Braves were definite faves in 95 and probably in 96 too.

I would like to know what the lines were when Houston and Chicago played in 2005 and when the Giants played the Angels because the Angels had lots of overlooked guys who weren't stars yet.

Thinking about it, the term ESPN Expert is some sort of quasi-oxymoron.

"Expert" = employees put in front of a camera and asked to give their opinion.

The closest they have recently gotten to an "expert" with a clue was Bill Simmons.

Last year they picked Texas in a landslide

                                          http://espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs/2011/story/_/id/7115918/espn-expert-predictions

                                          2010 they also picked Texas

I like imagining the guys sittin around the table listening to "Hip to Be Square" by Huey Lewis and the News. Their early work was a little too New Wave for my taste, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '87, Huey released this, Fore!, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to Be Square," a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!

i would guess 95 or 96 braves was the last time

                                                            maybe 97 marlins
Yeah Braves was last time I was thinking. Pretty crazy really. Espn/experts I imagine go with Favs everytime so they probably have been on all the AL teams over last 15 years or so.
