In this case, it wasn't someone playing in the casino. They were playing poker. In poker, you play against other customers, not the house. In the past, hackers have dumped money to accomplices.
Also, some people have been the victim of malicious hackings with seemingly no profit motive.
Or it could be someone trying to blackmail the book or ruin their reputation.
Maybe instead of laughing you should try thinking.Comment -

#78What I haven't heard you address is that you are only allowed to withdraw 500 a day for poker etc and a max of 1000 per week. How would they withdraw 7,000?Comment -

Breaking News: We pointed out the fact that Heritages poker room only lets you transfer a max or $500 a day and $1000 a week. no exceptions.
Once we pointed this little fact out to Brock the story is now that they were playing Blackjack via the Live Dealer..How a seasoned player like himself keeps mixing up Blackjack and Poker consistently is disturbing. If I starred on the TV show Mythbusters..this story would be..........BUSTEDComment -

#82Eric you are so full of shit.
Companies wont just give you an IP address right there on the phone call. They 'investigate' it first then get back to you. I called Heritage and asked their procedure. You were the one who is for sure the worst human being in the planet. You would sell your wife to gamble.Comment -

#85It's actually not that hard at all...what you are missing here is if someone, who just wanted to cause damage to a specific person, in this case Brock, goes and hacks into Heritage, they're not going to fukk with other accounts...this was not a hack directed at Heritage...this was a hack directed at Brock...

Heres the thing that I would really like to know. How the fukk did heritage not know the money was transferred to the casino and still there, even if its in the casino and not showing under sportsbook balance they would be able to see the whole account value. There no way this guy transfered the money out and then magically put it back it bad to be there the whole time.Comment -

its obviously someone had access to account numbers and maybe a password shared on different forums/books etc, or if this is all a lie then heritage and sbr should set the record straight, this is horrible publicity and most of the few remaining US facing sportsbooks dont need anymore of that.Comment -

#90Roboform is a must. I dont understand why someone from heritage doesnt address this, I have seen reps on here before from Heritage. Or even a higher up from sbr address this. They are claiming on eog that some admin who works for sbr had something to do with this, ridiculous, but why not just clear it up and talk to heritage tomorrow. Gaining access to someones password and account number using a simple hacking script, phishing, key logging, etc can happen but seems highly doubtful to just gain access to an account number and password for a sportsbook, of course if Brock is on these torrent sites and has a trojan on his system anything is possible, but to just have this one problem on a sportsbook seems highly unlikely.

#91just back home from my lecture on "sundown towns"..look it up, they DID/STILL exist...
Anyway, problems from this morning solved. Case pretty much closed. If SBR LOU wants to chime in, have at it. Hope Heritage steps in here too, to explain their side of it as well.

I'm glad it all worked out.
The best way to keep sportsbook accounts safe is a strong and random PW. The same goes for e-mail or online banking accounts. SBR wrote a newswire on this topic a while back which expands on this as well as other security tips: Don't be a victim! SBR's guide to sportsbook account securityComment -

#101Brock Landers Degenerate losing sports bettor who borrows money from co-workers and doesn't pay them back, takes out car title loans, and writes bad checks to chase his losses. He only plays big public favorites and square parlays. He likes to gamble and post on gambling forums while on family vacation. When you see a Brock Landers "Rubberband Play", pound the opposite side with confidence. Comment -

#103It is literally impossible for this story to be true.
Brock said that the perpetrator lost 7K playing poker. When he realized there was a limit he decided to say the hacker was actually playing BlackJack. Brock said the hacker had the money put back into the account in the casino which could have been possible IF he were just playing poker. The fact that he said it was placed back into his account without a transfer while playing BlackJack is literally impossible.Comment -
