just 3 weeks ago the Cards thought he was going to be done for the year. he's made a total of three starts his year and his fastball has dipped from 92 to 89mph.

thoracic outlet syndrome is nothing to fuk with. at any point in time he could turn his neck the wrong way and re aggrivate the injury. plus he is already going to be pitching in pain. there is no doubt about that. a guy like Carptener at his age needs to really heavily on his mechanics and if his neck is killing him and his mechanics are off, he's gonna get rocked.
