If You Couldn't Bet On Sports, Would You Still Watch?
For me, the answer is simply no.
Would you?

Yeah, absolutely I don't need betting to be able to enjoy a game. What would you do besides watching the NFL on Sundays?

Spend quality family time? No, you're right. I'd do nothing.

Yes
Why not? What else are you going to do? Jerk off? Color in coloring books? Watch Matlock?

Funny you say this: I was just going to start the same thread, asking if there were no gambling and no fantasy sports, would you even bother watching? I doubt I would.

I'd rather stop gambling.

If you say you never watched sports growing up,played, in school, or for any other reason before you placed the first wager then you probably suck at wagering.
Of course we wouldn't track soccer or a MAC team on a Fri night in the fall but would absolutely watch.
Paco being a Detroit spectator....I give a pass to the above logic

I was a fan before I got into gambling, not sure how much that would change now?
I would have to go with YES. Still would have to follow my Brewers, Bucks and Vikings.

Seaweed, when TTwarrior calls out your mental stability, it's really time you need to sit back and evaluate the choices you've made in life.

If there is no chance for getting something out of it, it is a waste of time. Time=Money. And wasted time is wasted money. Betting for many of us has turned into an investment or an addiction. Some of us are addicted to the action and thrill of winning, some of us (like myself) are wise investors to get a profitable return out of it. I would actually feel pretty stupid spending my time watching an entire game if it did not personally influence my bankroll. Watching sports for me is distinctly related to making money, as i believe it is for many others.

I wouldn't bet against that.
TT would probably say he would still enjoy watching horses run around in circles because of the sports beauty and not because of money.

I heard today from one of the higher-ups at SBR that TTwarrior has a ghost here.
They wouldn't tell me his name, but his initials apparently are "BM USA DOJ". I haven't quite figured out who it is yet, but when I do, I will destroy him. I'm pretty sure it's going to be some disturbingly disgusting, non-bathing, perverted little troll that watches porn 18 hours a day.

Ah... I see... this is an example of that whole "flirting" with yourself that you mentioned in that other thread.
Kinda cute...
... but what does your psychiatrist have to say about it?
