Sounds like a long shot, but the San Diego defense isn't really anything to tell momma about.

I wouldn't be surprised if every team in the division is 2-2 by day's end tomorrow. The division either sucks or is the most even in NFL history.

Just hope for Rivers 2 INT and KC should wrap it up.

I have a S.D. perspective, having been a fan when I lived there but just a minor one now and maybe less so because I don't like Norv, a guy who is perceived by some as an 'offensive' genius but is too often just banging his head against the wall and not making adjustments during the game, on the O side, even though the Chargers have racked up lots of points, sometimes.

Obviously there are strengths with the Chargers offense but here are a few weaknesses:

I think Rivers has suffered from a game plan that doesn't include enough quick drop passes and focuses too much on deeper drops where he ends up just looking for 'the open guy' and forces it. The Chargers brought in Royal during the off-season, a guy who you'd think would be perfect for slant passes or short passes to try and get him in space but I think there has only been one slant pass this year. They brought in Meachem also and he has been a non-factor. Norv also has a tendency to run too much on 1/10 in the first half (though not always of course) and get off to weak starts and puts Rivers into obvious passing situations. You will rarely see the Chargers pass the ball on 2nd/short. Gates is one year older though his chronic foot problems have been better this year but not really sure how well he is running. Mathews is back and is not a great blocker in pass protection plus, he has fumble-itis. The Chargers have an undrafted rookie at LT though Jared "I have back spasms and will not play until I am 100%" Gaither now claims that he can play.

We will get a better idea about the Charger's D in this game and find out if they can stop the run. Atlanta hacked them up but they have a good O and I think the Charger D got demoralized by what the Charger offense did in that game. The Charger D looked pretty good against the lesser opponents in the first two games. Too early to have a strong opinion on them.

I think that if Norv comes up with a better (less of what they normally do) offensive game plan that the Chargers could win this game easily but Norv usually likes to keep it close in a divisional game, on the road at K.C., and will stick to a predictable offensive game plan, ensuring a coin flip outcome. Wouldn't bet on this one.

                              Chiefs in a teaser.

Ever since they drafted safety Eric Berry in 2010 as well as other defensive players. This rivalry has been close games at Chiefs stadium since 2010.
