If it did, I would bet Pacquiao looking for the upset as Mayweather will be favored.
In essence, hoping for hitting the home run while basically knowing Mayweather will probably win the fight.

I don't see these two ever agreeing to fight. Unless Floyd blows all his money gambling and needs a huge payday

Manny Pacqiao is under contract for one more fight with Bob Arum in December 8 vs Juan Manuel Marquez for a 4th time, once this contract has expired the fight becomes more likely. With Mayweather right out of jail its unlikely he jump right to a mega fight like this, but rather against someone like Robert Guerrero and the mega fight would happen around this time next year

It will happen, but unfortunately both fighters will be so far past their prime that we will never see the fight everyone wanted...

here is article on station odds
While the date, time and location have yet to be announced, Station Casinos’ oddsmakers have put the opening line up this weekend on what has been called one of the most anticipated fights in history, the welterweight title fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. "I believe this fight will happen this time, and I believe it will be the biggest bet fight of all time," said Art Manteris, vice president of sports book operations for Station Casinos. "Two years ago I made Pacquiao a 7 to 5 favorite," Manteris said. "The betting public strongly disagreed, pushing the line all the way to Mayweather 7 to 5. This time I see it as a dead even or "Pick-Em" fight with the opening odds set at -110 for both fighters. The public can bet whoever they want. I’ll gladly take the other guy. Either way, I wind up with one of the best fighters of all time going for me," said Manteris. The line opened at all Station Casinos’ sports books and the El Cortez on November 5 with a $20,000 betting limit and the fight must happen by December 31, 2012 or all bets will be refunded.

the interest is no longer there. This should have happened no later than 2010. I no longer care to see this fight anymore. I dont think i am in the minority on this either.

He is already doing record-breaking PPV #s and has the best of every deal. It's his show. Manny may end up needing him, especially if he finally loses to Marquez and gets his fifth loss.
I think most people have gotten over Manny's hype, except for his Filipino fans. He also didn't help his image with the anti-gay remarks.

I'd rather see Mayweather fight Martinez.
Martinez called him out and offered to only take 25% of the purse but Mayweather will dodge him like the plague.
I'd be betting up big on Martinez in that hypothetical.
Mayweather and Pacman would have been interesting a few years ago but Pac's hit the wall now, Mayweather will pick him apart.

Its gonna happen..inside scoop here, 50 cent , PAC and floyd were gonna start a boxing promo company together ..yes your hearing it correctly..tho floyd is out of the business now, 50 and pacqiao are still doing it, once bob arum deal is done PAC will be doing his own fights with the new company.. 50 cent will talk Floyd into the fight, they are still friends. Huge money for both fighters

He would have picked him apart regardless. It's too bad because I'm sure a lot of people would take away from a Floyd victory if the fight happened, which is funny because Floyd is the older boxer. He's simply better.

And they would be justified given their respective styles.
Pacman fights a come forward pressure style and exposes himself to taking a lot of hits.
Mayweather is a counterpuncher who has been careful about selecting his opponents, particularly once he starting moving up in weight.
Mayweather looks to have aged a little but Pacman has looked beat up in his last few fights.

Mayweather is afraid of Pacman. Pacquaio wants this fight bad. Unless the judges fudge the cards in Money Mayweather's direction, Pacman should win.

It looks like Pacquiao has finally realized he's not getting nor deserves 50%. If he loses against Marquez, I don't even think he deserves 45%.
Pacquiao agreed Thursday during appearances on two separate television shows on ESPN to give Mayweather a 55-45 advantage on a financial split should they fight, as the public has been demanding since late 2009...Full article

What exactly are you basing this on? Boxing skill? Recent form?
Pac looks every part the fighter that's hit the wall. He doesn't have remarkable defense to fall back on. I don't remember the last time I thought he looked impressive, I guess it would be when he caught Cotto at a catch weight?

Pacquiao's defense is suspect but Mayweather's offense is also suspect. I go back since Ali in the 70's watching fights. Mayweather wins but doesn't win impressively with a huge arsenal of offense. He reminds me of a poor man's Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker. Whitaker wasn't a beast but knew how to impress on the judges cards (better defense than Mayweather) and that's all that matters. (Whitaker was a pound for pound superior boxer). Roy Jones Jr. is another guy. I loved watching him fight and in his prime he displayed more offense but he didn't like to get hit, just like Mayweather. Pacman is a warrior, a "Boom Boom Mancini" if you will, and physicality will help in forcing the issue with Money Mayweather.

Fight won't happen.
And any non-mayweather nut sucker knows exactly why. Manny has gave in to pretty much all of crybabys demands yet Mayweather keeps changing them.
Not saying Pacman would win. But Mayweather knows that he would have his hands full that is why he is being so demanding...making demands that are insane. Because he truly doesn't want the fight. Why else would such a money whore turn down a historic purse? He is concerned he would lose his little precious hand picked undefeated record.
But hey, Pacman "lost" on a fix. Now it surly won't happen because Mayweather has even more delusion to hide behind.

I don't get it. So, critics can say Manny is too old and lost a step, yet he's two years younger? What's that say about his conditioning? Is Floyd still as quick as he once was?
He's the better boxer/athlete, as evidenced by his performances in the ring. He only had one "close" or disputed fight against Jose Luis Castillo when he had a bum shoulder, he immediately took a rematch and won more decisively. Manny meanwhile, in addition to having lost four times and two draws, should have took at least one more L against Marquez.

his fight with DelaHoya was very close. A terrible fight but close.
