All sorts of opportunities exist where people can move up financially here in the U.S.. In purely socialist/communist countries, those opportunities are mighty thin indeed.
Way too much is already being done to help the bottom 10% in this country at the direct expense of the remaining 90%. Due to this, the work ethic of the average American is going straight down the tubes and the U.S. is suffering incredibly as a result.
Unfortunately, the number of TAKERS keeps growing with each passing day and there aren't enough GIVERS to support them any longer. Its high time people start pulling their own weight.
This is why the myth that taxing the rich is bad, is completly misguided. There is no trickle down effect, its just an incumbency of wealth.
Other than the select few who are born into great wealth, most of the "haves" achieved that status due to hard work and you are NOT entitled to the fruits of their labor. Why on Earth should the elite have to "share"?
Earn your own damn money and stop expecting others to pay for the things you want.
