    The Wembley Pitch
A typical soccer pitch at Wembley. Not the same grass as in the States, where they play soccer and football on the same field. If this grass really is very different, especially where it comes to how deep the roots are, this could be a very easy under with players slipping all over the place. Any grass experts?

yea that what i was thinking especially after that sloppy steelers game, i think it was last year. but then again nfl might make sure its in good condition because they want scoring to promote the game abroad.

The pitch at Wembley, if it is anything like last year, will provide a very low scoring game. I already took the under at my own peril - figuring when people remember how brutal last year's game was with the Giants and the Dolphins. I think even if the pitch is better, the skill player factor is also down with injuries and the like, making it a cinch of a play in my eyes.

I havn't read anything about the field this year and I havn't heard a thing about how they are trying to improve it - and in reality, it's probably the single biggest factor in the game outside of the playmakers and their respective injuries.

Last years game was all about the Giants doing just enough to beat the Deadfins. It rained all game, like that is a newsflash, it always rains in London, but the field will be very fast ans slick, so it will favor the receivers for both sides. This year we have two deperate teams going in to play. I took the over and I expect it to go way over.

In soccer the players can slip if the grass hadn't had time to send out roots deeply enough. And sometimes in newer stadiums the layer of soil is not deep enough (Amsterdam Arena had this problem for years). Of course soccer players don't push into the grass as much as football's sumo wrestlers. So the slipping could be much worse, if it's a matter of grass roots. That's what I'm trying to find out. I don't want to play the under, because it may rain. I want to know the specific difference between this grass and its roots and the grass in the USA. May not be easy to find out, but someone, somewhere has to know...
