Can the BENGALS go deep into the playoffs? (cinnci +5000 to win afc)?

A team with quite possibly the best defense in the nfl....

a sound running back (benson)

1 elite wide receiver (a.j green)

1 pretty good second wide receiver (jerome simpson)



all they're missing is a good quarterback... so the question becomes... assuming cinncy ends up a wild card or division winner, can they win three games in a row? are they good enough?


or is andy dalton bad enough to make this play impossible. because other than him they are a solid football team and look like they are playoff bound....

Green is not elite
Simpson has just over 300 yrds & zero td's & is not a pretty good 2nd wr
And Dalton has actually been pretty solid

Conclusion: Tough to make a deep run in the playoffs when you're not even in them

I would say they have the best shot of teams with terrible odds, though.

the simple fact that the afc "elite" all have noticeable holes make this somewhat appealing.. still dont buy these youngsters advancing all the way if they even get in that is... still whats a 100 bucks to win 5k? if they pull the miracle and take the div you can start hedging right away as they would more than likely only need 2 wins to make the sb..

cincy has made me money this year, but i don't expect them to make the poffs... i also expect them to lose in seattle this week. too much inexperience going into arguably the most hostile environment in the nfl

I remember when I said they'd make the playoffs b4 the season and you tards all laughed at me and said we were the worst team in the league. We will split with balt and Pitt at worse and win the division.

Me and my buddies were looking at futures today actually. Noticed the Bengals to win the division at +1250.

Having to play Baltimore and Pitt twice each still and @Tenn and Houston I don't like their odds of making the playoffs let alone the AFC Championship. But hey if they DO make the playoffs you never know....

50-1 is a fair price for a team with a 4-2 record and seem to be healthy, etc. But damn, Bengals Super Bowl?!

I guess I don't have an opinion either way, but it's definitely something interesting to think about. Balt & Pitt both are starting to look vulnerable and maybe *gasp* old. Balt & Pitt probably get it sorted out by the time the playoff push really heats up and a young Bengals team will probably falter, but it's hard to pass up juicy odds.
