Cardinals offensive tackle Brandon Keith, the team's seventh-round draft pick, pleaded guilty earlier this week to two misdemeanor charges that resulted from a disturbance in Cedar Falls, Iowa, last March.
Keith pleaded guilty to rioting and interference with officials. He was sentenced to one year of probation for the interference charge, according to the clerk's office of the Black Hawk County District Court in Waterloo.
He received a deferred judgment on the rioting charge, meaning the charge will be taken off his record if he successfully meets terms of his probation.
Keith and two former Northern Iowa teammates were arrested after a fight broke out inside the Main Event Center. Authorities said Keith, who is 6 feet 5 inches and 343 pounds, was shot with a Taser after he charged officers.
The Cardinals were aware of the incident when they drafted Keith in April. Keith is now subject to discipline under the NFL's player conduct policy.
