I think that this series is going to play out the same way as the Packers vs. Vikings series.
The Packers nearly lost to the Lions 26-28 earlier this season in Green Bay. Rodgers was shaky at best, and the Packers were lucky to squeak out a win. The same thing with the Vikings-- The Packers were incredibly lucky to sneak out a win as Favre's pass to Harvin would have put them ahead had his foot come down 3 inches forward in the endzone.
The Packers then went on to demolish the Vikings in the Big Hefty Bag. I know that there was a lot more turmoil for the Vikings than the Lions at that time (Childress), but the Lions are coming off of a tough loss at home to the Bears, and they're starting quarterback is Drew Stanton. They've also locked up a really sad stat of losing 10 games a season in 9 of the last 10.
I like the Packers to come out and win this game by two touchdowns. Even if they have a slow start like against the Niners, the passing game will be too much for the Lions.
The Packers may have also found something in runningback James Starks. That was his first live action in a football game in three years, and he looked good. There is a reason that the Packers have held onto this guy for so long while choosing to cut Al Harris and Mark Tauscher.
I don't see a lot of people talking about this game, does anyone see it my way? Or do you guys see this divisional game kept close like the Lions were able to do last week with the Bears?
