423 CLE +2 vs 424 JAC
I like that people think Jacksonville has turned some sort of corner with a few consecutive offensive outputs, but the fact is, Jacksonville racked up those big numbers against a Dallas team that was playing at 25% effort, and a Houston team with, perhaps, the worst defense in the NFL. This is the first good defense Jacksonville has seen in a month, and it will expose them for how "middle of the pack" they really are.
- Cleveland has focused hard on stopping the run and forcing opponents to become one-dimensional -- Jacksonville relies extremely heavily on Maurice Jones-Drew, and you can be damn sure Cleveland is going to be focused on stopping him, and making David Garrard beat them.
- The Browns have readily admitted, repeatedly, in fact, that they're confident, having fun, and really gelling as a team. I like backing teams with good chemistry.
- Jacksonville's defense is abysmal. Peyton Hillis is going to run through them like a swiss knife through butter. And that's going to open the field for Colt McCoy, who seems to be growing and toughening by the day.
- Jacksonville got a miracle-win last week over Houston, thanks to a Hail Mary pass that actually worked. Not so much, this week.
