People, that DirecTV exclusivity contract is something News Corporation (parent company of DirecTV) would fight tooth and nail to protect. Without exclusive rights to Sunday Ticket, DirecTV probably wouldn't be profitable. There's a reason they can offer you 5 months of regular programming for free when you sign up for it.

To me, it seems like DirectTV continues to have problems making this thing profitable, when they;re given a monopoly. They bitch about it not making them enough money. NFL gives them the exclusives.

Fucks us consumers over that might not be able to get it.
I moved into a new apartment, told them I got to have my balcony face south.
Funny thing is I found a bar that had 8 50" T.V.'s and free WIFI. $3 huge burritos, and I'm thankful.

But this monopoly shit drives me crazy, sometimes.
