Hello all. The NFL is finally here, and I'm ready to make some money.
Saints -5
The Saints have a high power offense that can't be stopped by too many teams and despite what the Vikings did last season. Sean Payton’s Saints are returning to the 2010 season with essentially the same roster as they had last year. The Vikes have had injuries spreading throughout camp, including wide receiver Sidney Rice having hip surgery and rookie corner back Chris Cook tearing his meniscus, the Vikings will have some glaring holes come the season opener. These main holes are at corner back and wide receiver. The Saints' high-flying passing attack awaits in the Superdome and , the Vikings' secondary just doesn't look ready. Count in Cedric Griffin still recovering from knee surgery and the Vikings will be using a variety of corners to stop third and fourth wide receivers on the Saints. It is going to be hard to contain them with a banged up secondary and a suspect duo at safety in. Also, Favre's favorite target is out, and I question his immediate chemistry with the others. I don’t trust their coach, I don’t trust the receivers they head into Thursday night with, and I don’t trust that Brett Favre is ready to face Brees in a shootout in the Superdome.
Thoughts?
