Jyles played pretty bad too. How many times did we see him underthrow a wide open receiver, or not put enough heat on the ball enabling the BC defenders enough to time to cut off the throw. These guys didn't get drafted by NFL teams for a reason...

Good point OTL... I'm mostly pissed off cuz I had some good Parlay $ with Win ML + Under... I mean It was a mostly break even game whereas I should have been hugely ahead... and only due to the greed of the ML... They gave me the points, and I didn't take them... These break even / lose a little win a little games are harder to take playing a bad strategy than if BC won by 20... ah well, maybe I'm over reacting.. Had Winnipeg just scored a TD it would have put tonnes of pressure on BC to score... Stupid donkeys...Comment -

One of the biggest worries I have is in Ham RB DeAndra' Cobb who has over 300 yards rushing in his last 2 games vs Winnipeg & Sask... doesn't fair well for the Eskimos who are not only a terrible run D, but a terrible D overall..
I will be honest... the only way the Esks win, despite all the motivation in the world, is by sticking to the passing game, and likely making this a good old fashion shootout... I feel that in this pickem' if you are liking the Esks.. It's VERY likely it will go over a very reasonable number.. at 50.5... If you like Hamilton... It's VERY likely it's because of a conservative road game, and a bang em up running game that eats up alot of clock and stays under (As well as the fact that Edmonton probably will not have done much offensively) ...
Because I'm a homer... I'm going to go with my play... the desperation Eskimos play to make the playoffs... Hamilton has clear motivation as well.. If they win, they are in 2nd, but on the other side of the coin, they were given a GIFT last week in BC with the 5 Turnovers in the second half... they should by rights be on a 2 game losing streak... Winning 2 straight games on the road is a tough thing... I will give the Esks the benefit here...

I said we'd shake off the big plays on Calgary of weeks prior.... we did... And go figure.. We made some of that big play money back.. on Edmonton??? Personally, I actually had 4 units on that play, but marked it for 2.. I don't want everyone necessarily backing things to the level of intensity I sometimes put on myself... But I do in fact, back all my plays nearly to the letter but for small moves, or sometimes added units on a game I suddenly like even more (like Edmonton last night...)
I don't know what my official record is, but all that matters in the big picture is how you manage your units... and that you get some units back in return... Thankfully this was one of those weeks... Had I not been so greedy, despite the value in the Winnipeg ML, would have even had a bigger week...

Well, it wasn't so easy... Edmonton got outplayed all game, and would have lost if not for a fluke interception on Hamilton's 15 yard line that got ran back for a TD. Football betting is definitely not for the faint of heart.Comment -
It wasn't easy.. but fluke? Must be Edmonton hater... You say "fluke" like the ball bobbled 4x in the air and he was standing in the endzone? Davis jumped the route and walked in untouched... Esks lead the league in INT's... Fluke was Ham Baggs' strip on RB McCarty on 3rd and 1 to get the 21-7 lead...
Not to mention Eskimos answered every time Hamilton scored, and pretty much dictated the pace of the second half...
I'm not leaning on anything Eskimos in the coming week just yet.. But if that team is the one that shows up, they are as good as anyone... Well.. maybe not Calgary... Or Montreal.. or Saskatchewan... Toronto maybe... ok we're as good as anyone not in the top 3...Comment -

Toronto is losing ground on just about everyone now.. Particularly in the West where BC and Edmonton started winning.... I said last week Toronto is comfortable right now waiting for the Playoffs... which may be true... But now this may at least put some pressure on them to perform, or at LEAST cover 11.5... RB Boyd is still a beast... QB Bell looked decent as well... The nice thing in games like this is the possibility that even backdoor covers are in effect.. You're never out of this game even down 17...

on the fact that they are a desperate team that may, or may not come to play in a place that notoriously they do not play well...
There.. Now that I throw that unit in the toilet... I will say that I'm going to hit this under HARD... BECAUSE it's a place that Edmonton Notoriously places poor, and when you look back this year at Hamilton at home...
Last week was very fortuitous at how the scoring came in bunches... But now that BOTH teams are under the gun, Edmonton Needs a Win... Hamilton is losing ground on the West... I think this will be a much more carefully strategized game...
But you want some stats no? This year, Ti-Cats have played 5 of 6 unders... BUT look a little deeper... Hamilton is also 8 of 9 unders LAST year at home with the number of 52... that's 13 of the past 15 under 52 ... and that's pretty convincing... Lets hope the theory equals the result...
