I agree with this, he's playing this year and he's going to show up for training camp. It will be his final season, he better put in the preseason effort if he wants to go out as a champ.

As a Wisconsinite I am absolutley sick of Brett Favre. I also have a theory that the Packers would have won more Super Bowls had they traded him back in 95. Short version they would have still had a pro-bowl type QB in Mark Brunell as well as a trade that would have brought us numerous first round picks as well as a starter or two most likely. Trading a young QB in his prime would have net us a kings ransom. The D on that team was great and I truly believe that Brunell and the trade would have made us a better team then having Brett Favre. Anyone else agree.

favre will return, the vikings knows that without him they dont have a chance to make to the playoffs, so they'll get tons of benefits, but i'm sure the vikes will draft a qb, to bad pennington is old, because he could become a qb there for the long term

Farve will sit out the pre-season, as he did last year, and return for one more try. I do not see him returining for the season in 2011, but he came close in '09 and will give it one more shot in '10. If the Vikes thought that there was a good chance that he would NOT be returning, they would be actively seeking a replacement now. So far, they have given no indication of this.
