this is a no brainer, he is gone. What he has done to his career in the past few years makes it almost impossible to even remember what a great player he once was. I can't say that I am sorry for him at all, he did it to himself and even in the post game interview he wouldn't even put the loss on himself even though he turned the ball over 4 times. It is funny he has 21 of the 23 turnovers Vikings.

I was thinking he may retire mid season, but then there's to much money on the table not to roll for another half season.

Amazing how hot and cold he can be from week to week.

I think a lot of it has to do with playing outdoors. He's nothing like the mudder that he was as a young guy.

Favre will return to play in the NFL +9000

If the lockout drags on, it might make more and more sense for the Vikings to give Favre a call. There's no way Ponder will be ready without a solid offseason of OTAs and preseason snaps. Plus, if the preseason basically gets scrapped, Favre wouldn't have to do that crap that he doesn't want to do anyway. I still think Favre stays retired this time because the consecutive game streak was a big thing keeping him going and now that's over.
