I don't care if Favre comes back or not. He's a great player. He's great for the game. Favre would be a fool not to come back to a Vikings team that is more talent stacked than any teams he's been on since the Reggie White years. Give Favre another year to work with his young WRs and kick Peterson's ass around for fumbling too much and this Vikings team will be very special next year.
I could totally see the Vikings running away with the NFC next year. Who else is there except the Saints? The Cowboys are up and down and seem to match up poorly with the Vikings. The Packers are 0-2 against Favre who is on a mission to pay them back or whatever. The Lions and Bears seem to be floundering within that division. Then there's the Falcons, Eagles, Giants, Cards, etc that are all going though their own unique growing pains. The Vikings are the only complete team right now in the NFC besides the Saints.Comment -
I agree to a point. I do not see the Saints repeating in their own division, much less as NFC Champs. I think Atlanta beat them this year. I also see the Vikings running out of gas again, in the playoffs. They may not even win their division. Right now, the Pack is favored to win the NFC North. favre is coming back, he was in the run for MVP, and should have got it. Peyton did not deserve MVP. Brees deserved it more then peyton. Peyton had like 18 picks. wayyyy to many, but yea he is coming back. He had an MVP season, great team, and most of all he likes his team. Lawl, I would so rather be the 3rd best team in the NFL than take my chances winning a Superbowl with anyone else at QB. Look deep down inside you and you'll find out that winning a Superbowl isn't everything to you. Why should you be so let down if your team doesn't win the Superbowl and is only the 3rd best team? You don't spend hours upon hours training in the off season, watching game film and getting mentally ready for the 5 month train wreck you're about to put your body through. Nope, the only people who should be considering their NFL seasons Superbowl or bust are the people that are playing in and coaching these games. Bring Favre back and one week after my emotions of the game has worn off, I will be perfectly content losing the NFC championship game 49-3. You realize that you're saying if you're a true fan, you can't be happy unless your team wins the Superbowl. So the fans of the other 31 teams shouldn't be happy with their season? Entertainment breeds happiness and that's what the NFL provides you even if you don't win the Superbowl whether you like it or not. With the draft coming up this week, Brett will probably come out any day and say he is leaning toward retiring. When training camp opens he'll then say there's a "50-50" chance he'll be back this year.
